Codification touches virtually every area of the supply chain and courses will deal with fundamental issues such as identifying material correctly. Being able to communicate a common language of logistics
is really the bedrock of working together either within Armed Forces or in the multinational operations.
The purpose of the National Codification Bureau (NCB) NCB College is to provide a comprehensive education about NATO codification and how it fits into the overall logistics process. It is comprised of two units, the Course for Managers and Directors, and the Course for Codifiers and Logisticians. It also provides an opportunity to visit a Military Warehouse or Depot to fully understand the importance of the NATO Stock Numbers and how it is used throughout the Logistics Lifecycle.
