Codification uses a single 13-digit NATO Stock Number (NSN) to identify an item (or group of functionally interchangeable items) according to its form, fit and function. It enables global identification of materiel and spares allowing identifying replacements quickly. This method of cataloguing facilitates equipment interoperability, while reducing inventory and significantly simplifying the procurement process and associated costs.
This course provides comprehensive information about the NATO Codification System (NCS) and its added value to logistics processes. It comprises of two courses: the Course for Managers and Directors, and the Course for Codifiers and Logisticians.
All non-NATO participants are requested to email copies of their passports to the AC/135 Secretariat at least 40 days before the course commences AC135secretary@nspa.nato.int. Failure to comply will result to non-admittance to NSPA premises. The original passports must be presented at the NSPA gate at the first day of the meeting in order to access NSPA premises.
Before making any travel arrangements please check carefully the following web sites providing information on prevailing travelling restrictions and also note that the information available is constantly being updated according to governmental decisions:
NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) is a customer-funded agency, operating on a no profit - no loss
basis. NSPA brings together in a single organization NATO's logistics and procurement support activities, providing integrated multinational support solutions for its stakeholders. In 2015, the NATO North Atlantic Council (NAC) approved changes to the Charter, marking the expansion of the Agency's capability scope and the inclusion of major, multi-national weapons system acquisition in our broad capability set.
Over the years, the Agency has expanded greatly its capability portfolio, creating competency in 5 main capability areas; Support to Operations and Exercises, Systems Procurement and Life-Cycle Management, Fuel Management, Strategic Transport and Storage, and Logistics Services and Project Management.
Public transportation in Luxembourg is free for residents and tourists. This is the case for trains, trams and buses (RGTR, TICE, AVL). In other words, you don't need to buy a ticket anymore. The only exception are tickets and subscriptions for first class, which still have to be paid for. However, every passenger has to present a piece of identity if a conductor demands to see one.
Registrants have to self-arrange their transportation to the NSPA gate, where they will be picked up by NSPA personnel. The most preferred method is a train ride from the Luxembourg city central train station (Gare) to Capellen and then walk a 300 meter distance to the NSPA gate.
